I enjoy reading, and sewing. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband, 5 kids and dogs that keep life interesting. I have taught school in the classroom, and as an itinerant vision specialist. I enjoy learning and have added many areas to basic abilities-elementary ed., special ed, vision and auditory processing issues, courses in gifted and several areas of special ed., early childhood. Then left off these basic learning areas, which I treasure, and studied herbals, and now homeopathy. I have worked with children and adults over the years. I take clients needing help in any of the above, and am grateful for the homeopathic addition as it helps round out and help my clients in ways I have never been able to before. It has been interesting to see how one thing led me to another in my life as clients have shown me their many integrated needs.
I just keep learning and growing and enjoy working with both kids and adults. Adults only seem come if they need to update or refresh skills for employment-which makes sense. I have worked with children ages 2 months (visually impaired) to age 21 (special education programs).
I have enjoyed adding clinical herbalist and homeopath to my skill sets and am excited to include these areas in my business. I do mostly 1 on1 service, but enjoy doing small groups as well, when enough clients need or want the same thing.
I have specialized in visual and auditory processing issues. Most states cover physical vision and auditory issues, but I found that processing issues are as critical as physical and no one really worked with them-so I added these to my training and skill set.
I have worked in teaching since I was a junior in high school, working in the elementary schools to as an aid, in college at the schools for the deaf and blind volunteer in the dorms, and so on.
Helping others is my goal and hope to so for as long as it is possible.
