With a love for people and health, I have been practicing the healing arts for more than 2 decades. Trained as a nutritionist and nurse, Ive worked as both a women’s health nurse and birth doula for much of that time. Walking alongside women and their families during beautiful and sacred moments (some joyful and some heartbreaking) has been a true gift. But my most intimate training has come from navigating my own health and advocating for our family. As a wife and mother to five kids, there are endless lessons learned and my desire for true health and wellness has taken me on a journey Im forever grateful for.
A personal health crisis in 2010 served as a catalyst for discovering modalities that could bring healing, rather than bandaid solutions. While Im thankful for allopathic medicine and my training in it, I have found that honoring body, mind, and spirit together brings about the most change in overall well being. In the most recent years, my study of homeopathy has been an incredible tool for helping a wider range of people and ailments. In the fall of 2022 I graduated from the Academy of Practical Homeopathy, and love teaching others to use this beautiful medicine. Im always learning, seeking to understand, and always amazed at the human body and what it can do if given the right tools.
I love spending time with my family in creation- hiking, camping, exploring National Parks. I also love cooking and hosting folks in my home as well as serving at our church.
Practical Wellness Co. was founded by Amanda Edgell and myself with the vision of cultivating wellness as a way of life. We love walking alongside and guiding others toward sustainable health and well-being using whole foods and homeopathy.
